More updated news on Vincent Pastore's play "Wild Children"

When you thought it was good, it just gets better. Apparently some of the guys from the super group "The Rascals" performed on stage, Sunday afternoon, as part of the live music segment (live cutting edge music is part of the story line). And I've been picking up some tidbits, about some exciting things going on, in future shows. So, if you haven't called Smart Tix, and reserved your seat, time is running out and also the number of available seats is dwindling, so don't get left out in the cold (and snow), get your seats now!

I got word the the original members, of the group, "Street Kid" (yes the same band that performed at the original Crazy Horse bar, that Vincent owned in New Rochelle) will be playing at a special pre show on Sunday, December 22, 2013. This special performance, ticket sales will benefit The Felix Foundation, whose goal is to provide inspiring opportunities and experiences to enrich the lives of children in the foster care system. Help support this worthy cause, and attend the December 22 nd show. Check out Street Kids website and sample some of their music, its worth a visit!

Another fun thing that came out of the play is a movement making the December 15th, 3 pm show, a "Crazy Horse" alumni show. If you are still around, and were part of the escapades when Vinny had the club, get a ticket and join the fun!

If I hear anymore, I will update. The show closes on December 22, so treat yourself to an early holiday present!

- Sue

October 23, 2013

An early holiday gift!

Tickets have officially gone on sale for the New York performances of Vincent Pastore's play, "Wild Children".

A work of fiction, the play “Wild Children” draws its inspiration from his own memories of owning and running the club, “Crazy Horse” in Westchester County back in the 80's. The characters that stumbled through that door (and a few who were thrown out that same door), give fodder for the play “Wild Children”. And if you're still alive after the living through the 80's, you'll recognize some familiar places, like “Peach Trees”, and “Marty's and Lenny's”. “Wild Children” will be directed by Hamilton Clancy.

“Wild Children”

It was the beginning of the 80's, when Rock and Roll still rules but that dreaded disco was rapidly closing in, Frankie Donato, a night club owner is faced with building his dream and the demons who are trying to destroy it. He is determined to bring Rock and Roll to his Westchester bar, which is disco's turf, but he wants his slice of heaven to be free of drugs and the interesting characters, from wise guys, blues singers, drug dealers and an occasional stripper that come with the territory.....

This show, was performed at the Nyack Theater in upstate New York, sold out quickly, so get your tickets early, so you will have a wider choice of dates to choose from.

Tickets can be purchase here, via Smart Tix.

September 17, 2013 - Vincent received Best Supporting Actor award for the film "Surviving Family" at the Northeast Film Festival
